U mojim anatomskim istraživanjima nisu bila presudna medicinska, već umjetnička gledišta. Stoga je moj osnovni zadatak bio upoznati i što vjernije prikazati mišićni sustav i kostur, koji prilikom funkcioniranja najviše utječu na promjenu oblika površine tijela. Struktura knjige proizlazi iz iskustva što sam ga stekao predavajući na Mađarskoj akademiji likovne umjetnosti.
